As Kate Middleton's due date approaches, citizens of the UK, royal watchers abroad, and the hungry pack of dogs that is the British tabloid press are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of the "spare" to Prince George's heir.
Kate's been cagey about her exact due date, but we know the little prince or princess is set to arrive before the end of April, and today, Prince William began his six-weeks of paternity leave from his job as an air-ambulance pilot, which has led many to believe that the new addition will be arriving sooner rather than later.
Will's leave will be unpaid, but considering he donates his salary to charity anyway, we're guessing that wasn't much of a deterrent.
Sources say Kate will take an extended leave from her royal duties, as she feels that she went back to "work" too soon after the birth of Prince George.
In addition to being secretive about the exact due date, Will and Kate have kept a tight lid on information such as possible names and the baby's sex. (Kate has said she doesn't even know the sex.)
So we guess we'll all find out together when Kate finally pops within the next few days.
Possibly the surest sign that the royal tyke will be arriving any day (and a sad sign of the times in which we live) is the fact that hospital security has been beefed up in preparation for Kate's arrival.
A little dark, but hey, it doesn't get any more baller than entering the world behind a wall of armed guards.
