Charlie Sheen's twin boys were removed from the home of their mother, Brooke Mueller last night, and are now staying with his other ex-wife, Denise Richards.
Officials decided Brooke's house was an "unsafe environment" for children.
It's not clear what prompted this, but L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services personnel arrived to Brooke Mueller's home with a warrant.
When they departed, Bob and Max, 4, left with them.
The kids are now with Denise Richards, the mother of Charlie's two young daughters, Sam and Lola. Denise has often helped Charlie in situations like this.
DCFS officials decided Brooke's home was unsafe because they suspected she was using drugs again, which is not a surprise after the past few years.
They reportedly believed "the children were in danger."
A court hearing is set for next week, as Sheen and DCFS look to work out a more permanent solution regarding where the twin boys should reside.
Mueller's problems with substance abuse are well-documented; she is a far bigger mess than Sheen ever was, which is seriously saying something.
What a mess ... but thank goodness for Denise.
